Minneapolis Courthouse Elopement • Helen + Rahul

Each year we are lucky to be a part of a few very intimate weddings and elopements - most taking place at a courthouse or a place special to the couple, with only the very inner circle of family and friends witnessing. These days are so different from the typical hustle-and-bustle of a full scale wedding event, and it helps us reconnect with the core of what wedding days are really about.

Helen and Rahul are just so in love with each other, and we’ll never forget the special day we spent with them. The afternoon started with Helen at Brett Dorian’s stunning studio in the Solar Arts building, where we also held their adorable, vulnerable first look with plenty of nerves and tears. We then headed to the always-impressive Hennepin County Government Center building in downtown Minneapolis, where their closest people watched them make it official. Afterwards everyone celebrated with plenty of pasta, wine, and cake at Amore Uptown. Finally, we took a sunset stroll to the shore of Bde Mka Ska for a romantic set of couple portraits with the newlyweds.

All of the courthouse weddings, elopements, and intimate weddings, please! We love being a part of these days - helping to plan them, photographing them so people have beautiful memories to hold forever, and just being allowed to be present for such personal and profound moments in our couples’ lives.
