Intimate Same-Sex Mansion at Uptown Minneapolis Wedding Photographer / Mark and Chris
Mark and Chris' day was all about FUN, with an intimate gathering of about 100 of their closest friends and family to celebrate their marriage. After getting ready alone together at Martin Patrick in the North Loop, we wandered around the neighborhood for some very dapper portraits. Then we headed to Mansion at Uptown, where their loved ones gathered for one of the most humbling, hilarious, and personal ceremonies we've witnessed. Guests were treated to champagne during the ceremony, and Chris and Mark invited some of their best friends to stand up and deliver surprise readings and speeches - the perfect tribute to their relationship over the years. From there the night immediately went into party-mode with a private downstairs club, a custom playlist of the greatest hits of their friend group, and some of the most original dance moves we've seen.
We're always honored to be invited to be a part of any wedding day, but the intimate ones really get us the most. They truly allow for everything to slow down a bit, and for genuine connections to form. The energy is just so powerful when a guest list is refined down to the closest of the close, and we'll always love documenting the emotions and relationships of small gatherings.
Cheers to Mark, Chris, and all of their people as they kick off this next chapter!
